The “Minister’s Directives 2017” represents an annual guiding document contributing to gradual implementation of the Georgian Armed Forces (GAF) long term development priorities. The document provides a short-term planning guidance for the Ministry of Defence (MoD), General Staff and subordinate structural units and aims to accomplish anticipated outcomes identified in 2017. The goal of this document is to establish effective, mobile, modern, professional and NATO compatible Armed Forces in line with the recommendations of the “Strategic Defence Review 2017-2020” and strategic directions outlined in the “White Paper 2017-2020”.
