The Deputy Minister of Defense attended the meeting on European and Euro-Atlantic integration issues

Deputy Defence Minister Grigol Giorgadze attended the information meeting with the clergy representatives on European and Euro-Atlantic integration issues.  

The meeting organized by the Information Center on NATO and European Union and the Union 21st Century aimed at the involvement of the church and the exchange of information in terms of raising public awareness on the issues of European and Euro-Atlantic integration.

Grigol Giorgadze spoke about the cooperation of Georgia as an aspirant country with NATO from a military point of view and successful implementation of the Substantial NATO-Georgia Package.

The Deputy Minister highlighted importance of conducting multinational military exercises in Georgia, as well as the role and capabilities of the NATO-Georgia Joint Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC). Grigol Giorgadze noted that Georgia thoroughly fulfills its commitments to the Alliance, which is positively evaluated by NATO and member states' representatives.

Director of the Information Center on NATO and the European Union Tamara Tsuleiskiri, the Head of the NATO Liaison Office Alexandre Vanikov, high-ranking clerics, as well as the representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic corps attended the event held in Telavi.
