Internal Audit Training has started at the Defense Institution Building School of the Ministry of Defense of Georgia. The Deputy Minister of Defense Grigol Giorgadze and the Director of the NATO Liaison Office Alexander Vinnikov officially opened the 8th stage of the series of trainings.
30 internal auditors from 22 different public agencies are taking part in the training. During their four-day course, British expert John Cheshire will introduce the issues of "Personnel Health and Welfare Audit" and "Information Technology Audit" to the participants.
The course is aimed at establishing functionally strong internal audit services in the public sector and ensuring compliance with international standards of audit activity.
The training is conducted at the initiative of the Internal Audit Department of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, with the support of the NATO-Georgia Building Integrity (BI) Program and in coordination with the Harmonization Center of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia.
