Defense Minister of Georgia met with German and Dutch Counterparts in Brussels

Within NATO Defense Ministerial Defense Minister of Georgia meets with foreign counterparts at NATO HQ. Juansher Burchuladze held meetings with the Defense Ministers of German Federation and Kingdom of Netherlands. 

At the beginning of the meeting Georgian Defense Minister thanked his counterparts – Christine Lambrecht and Kajza Ollongren for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and Euro-Atlantic aspiration.  

At the meeting with German Defense Minister, Juansher Burchuladze emphasized Germany’s practical and political support to Georgian Defense Forces. As he stated, cooperation between two countries in defense sphere that counts for decades, includes wide range of issues and is developing successfully. 

Minister overviewed the ongoing cooperation issues with his foreign counterparts and set future prospects of cooperation. Juansher Burchuladze highlighted vital contribution of Germany and Netherlands in SNGP implementation process.

Minister also stressed on Germany and Netherlands’s support in EU cooperation formats and once more confirmed Georgia’s foreign course to the West that means final integration to Euro-Atlantic structures. 

Regional and global security challenges were one of the topics at the meetings as well. Defense Ministers condemned Russia’s full-pledged military aggression against Ukraine and expressed solidarity towards Ukraine and Ukrainian people.
