Equipping the Georgian Defence Forces with local armored vehicles continues. This time, Defence forces received 6 armored vehicles "Didgori Medevac" produced by "Delta“.Defence Minister of Georgia Juansher Burchuladze and representatives of the defence forces attended the handover event to the "Didgori Medevak" units at the Joint NATO-Georgia Training and Evaluation Center (JTEC). The minister inspected the tactical and technical characteristics of "Didgori Medevak" and personally tested the armored vehicle.
According to the minister, equipping the Georgian Defence Forces with nationally produced military equipment is one of the important priorities for the agency and will continue in the future.
The medical-evacuation armored vehicle "Didgori Medevak" is designed for medical purposes, to transport directly from the combat zone to a safe area and to provide first aid during transportation.
Armored vehicles manufactured by the "Delta" company will be gradually handed over to military units in accordance with the distribution plan. About 40 units of armored vehicles produced by "Delta" were delivered to the Defence Forces of Georgia for the first time in 2020 during the tenure of Irakli Gharibashvili.
