Reinforced Platoon of National Guard left for the Central Africa

The Reinforced Platoon of the National Guard of the Georgian Defence Forces left for the Central African Republic to engage in the EU-led Military-Training Mission.

Deputy Commander of the Georgian Defence Forces Brigadier General Irakli Chichinadze, Commander of the National Guard Brigadier General Roman Jokhadze and French Defence Attaché to Georgia, LTC Frederic Campos bid farewell to the Georgian peacekeepers at the Alekseevka military airfield.

The National Guard servicemen will fulfill the mission at the Moana Camp in the capital of the Central African Republic, Bangui. The main task of the Georgian peacekeepers will be providing the security of the base, motorized patrol, convoy and departure.
