Special Operations Forces held a Joint Combined Exchange Exercises

Western Battalion of Special Operations Forces of Georgian Defence Forces and Alpha Team of the U.S. Army Operational Unit finished Joint Combine Exchange Training (JCET). The final exercise was held in the vicinity of Kobuleti, with the support of the military servicemen of III Infantry Brigade of the Defence Forces, the 10th Cadre Brigade of the National Guard and the General Mazniashvili Legion.

10 week long trainings was focused on the conduct of unconventional and asymmetric warfare. The training was carried out into two phases of preparatory and calminative trainings. The preparatory phase involved medical, shooting, tactical and unconventional combat training. In the culminating phase, under the created scenario, an offensive operation- a raid was carried out against the conventional enemy.

The exercise was aimed at sharing experience with the US Army Operational Unit Alpha and improving interaction while conducting asymmetric combat operations by the military personnel of Special Operations Forces. The goal of the training was implementing coordinated actions along with the civilians.
