Minister Juansher Burchuladze got familiar with the improved conditions in the Academy

Large-scale infrastructural works were carried out in the David Agmashenebeli National Defence Academy of Georgia. Today, Minister of Defence along with Defence Forces Commander visited the National Defence Academy and familiarized with the renewed conditions. The Academy Rector Brigadier General Mamia Balakhadze hosted the guests. They viewd the library, sports complex, barracks, recreation center, canteen and got familiar with both educational and living conditions.

The living barracks were fully renovated and equipped with new, modern inventory. In accordance with the Covid regulations, the layout of the living rooms in the barracks was also changed. The rooms were redesigned for only two people instead of six. The gyms were refurbished and equipped with the latest equipment. The swimming pool and dining room were also rehabilitated.

For the educational purposes, physics and chemistry laboratories of European standards were arranged.  Simulation Training Centre was also renovated.

An exhibition space named after Colonel Alexander Chkheidze was opened at the National Defence Academy reflecting the complete history of the Institution since its establishment. Unique documents and photos from the cadet school period, historical weapons and military equipment of Shindisi heroes are placed there as well. A cabinet after Colonel Alexander Chkheidze was also arranged in the Academy, where his memorial items are placed.
