Another company of Georgian peacekeepers returned to homeland from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. Colonel Teimuraz Klateishvili, the head of the Special Operations Forces and other representatives of the Georgian Defence Forces congratulated the members of the company with successful completion of the “Resolute Support Mission” and safe return home.  The unit was conducting its peacekeeping duties in the capital of Afghanistan, in Kabul, at the Resolute Support Staff Base under the US command leadership.

In the nearest days, the last Georgian company and senior representatives deployed in Afghanistan will be returned home, thus concluding the withdrawal process of Georgian units.

The 3rd infantry Brigade’s 32nd light infantry battalion’s military servicemen and half of reinforced company servicemen already returned from NATO’s “Resolute Support mission”.
