The MoD delegation of Georgia led by Defense Minister visited NATO Enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group in Ādaži Military Base in Latvia.
With the appropriate military equipment NATO Enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group provides NATO’s strengthened deterrence and defence posture in the eastern and south-eastern parts of Alliance territory.
Together with the member of the Georgian MoD delegation, Defense Minister attended the practical demonstration of Latvian-made Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) PenguinC M2 and got acquainted to its capabilities.
As Juanhser Burchuladze stated, visit to the military base was very productive and aimed to share experience in technology directions. “We share information on technologies. I would like to share Latvian experience in this respect. We also delivered the Latvian side our experience. We hope to deepen mutual cooperation with our partner countries in the future”, outlined Defense Minister.
Defense Minister of Georgia also met with Latvian counterpart Artis Pabriks and Speaker of the Saeima of the Republic of Latvia Ināra Mūrniece. Within the visit Juansher Burchuladze will held meetings with President of Latvia Egils Levits and Minister of Foreign Affairs Edgars Rinkēvičs. Minister plans to visit NATO STRATCOM Centre of Excellence as well.
