Minister of Defense of Georgia hosted the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia

Close bilateral cooperation in defense sphere between Georgia and the Republic of Turkey, the outstanding political support towards Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty,   unwavering support towards Georgia’s NATO aspirations, regional and the Black Sea security – these are the major topics Minister of Defense of Georgia Juansher Burchuladze discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia, H. E Fatma Ceren Yazgan.

During the meeting Defense Minister highlighted the contribution of Turkey as Georgia’s strategic partner in development of the Georgian Defense Forces and thanked the Turkish side for material-technical/grant assistance provided throughout the years.

The sides also talked about the defense transformation process of Georgia, initiatives within the framework of the Refreshed Substantial NATO-Georgia Package (SNGP) as well as sharing experience in military education and trainings sphere between Georgia and Turkey.
