Heroes Fallen in Battle against Russian Occupation in 1921 were Commemorated

Deputy Defense Minister Davit Sujashvili, Deputy Chief of Defense Forces, Major General Zaza Chkhaidze and Commander of National Guard, Brigadier General Roman Jokhadze paid a tribute to the memory of the cadets fallen in the battles against the Russian occupation in 1921 at the Kojori-Tabakhmela Memorial.

The MoD officials talked with the juveniles who are interested in military affairs gathered in Kojori and together remembered the combat operations against the Red Army nearby Tbilisi occurred 100 years ago. 

The representatives of General Mazniashvili Legion, juveniles interested in military affairs and the members of organization Aisi were at the Memorial as well.

Later on, the participants of the event honored the place where Cadet Shalva Eristavi was fallen. “Tbilisi Defenders’ Day” was held under the organization of Youth legion and under the support of Defense Ministry.
