The 32nd Battalion of III Infantry Brigade of the Georgian Defense Forces completed the pre-deployment training for Resolute Support mission. The unit conducted the final exercise – company level cordon and search operation at JTEC together with the U.S. Marine Corps Liaison Team.
Georgian military servicemen had undergone the final pre-deployment exercise for the international mission on the American military base in Hohenfels, Germany, where they got final estimations. The mentioned trainings are conducted in Georgia for the second time. By integration their own capabilities and resources the Georgian Defense Forces arranged maximally real environment of Afghan villages and settlements, they also engaged civilians for playing various roles of local population.
More than 600 military participated in 4-month long final exercise. Up today approximately 18 000 Georgian military have undergone pre-deployment training and participated in ISAF and RS international missions together with U.S. Marine Corps Liaison Teams.
