Minister of Defence of Georgia Held Farewell Meeting with the Ambassador of Japan to Georgia

Irakli Garibashvili welcomed the Ambassador of Japan to Georgia, H.E. Tadaharu Uehara to the Ministry of Defence of Georgia to bid him farewell. Defence Minister thanked Tadaharu Uehara for fruitful cooperation, for his contribution to strengthening bilateral relations between Georgia and Japan during his tenure and wished him success in future career.

Irakli Garibashvili expressed gratitude for strong political and practical support of the Japanese government towards Georgia and underlined the importance of Japanese contribution to the NATO Trust Fund project “Georgia IV” under the Partnership for Peace (PfP) Program.  The sides also talked about the future prospects of cooperation in defence sphere between Georgia and Japan. H.E. Tadaharu Uehara has been the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Georgia since August, 2017.
