Reinforced Company of Eastern Command left for Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan

This time, Reinforced Company of Eastern Command left for Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan to fulfill the Resolute Support Mission. Brigadier General Aleksandre Kiknadze Eastern Commander of Defence Forces, bid farewell to the Georgian peacekeepers from the Alekseevka Combined Airfield, wished the military personnel successful fulfillment of the mission and safe return to their homeland.

In the near future, the military unit under the command of Major Zurab Tskhadadze will replace II Infantry Brigade at Camp Marmal in Mazar-i-Sharif on a rotating basis. The Reinforced Company will carry out the Resolute Support Mission under the command of German Forces for 7 months and its main task will be to carry out quick response tasks.
