Books will be sent from Georgia to the the military in peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan

To complete the "corner of the book" in Afghanistan, the military servicemen were donated the books from Ilia Chavchavadze National Library of the Parliament of Georgia.

Handing of fiction, historical-documentary and scientific literature donated by the National Library was held at the "Army Hall" of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia. The 13th Battalion of I Infantry Brigade, getting ready for the deployment to the international mission, will deliver the books to the military in Afghanistan.

Memorandum of Understanding was signed in 2017 between the Ministry of Defence and the National Library. As part of the Memorandum, the library has already donated books to several military bases of the Defense Forces. The book corner was also arranged in Afghanistan. The purpose of the Memorandum is promoting the implementation of various cultural and educational activities.
