Defense Minister of Georgia attended the Meeting of the North Atlantic Council with Resolute Support Operational Partner Nations and Potential Operational Partner Nations. NATO Secretary General opened the meeting. Defense Ministers of NATO RSM operational member and partner countries discussed security challenges and ongoing process of international mission.
While delivering speech at the meeting Irakli Garibashvili once more confirmed Georgia’s adherence to shared values and security principles.”Having acknowledged the gravity of ever persisting and growing security challenges, for over a decade, Georgia has been the largest per capita and non-NATO troop contributor to the NATO-led operations and an active supporter of the EU and UN-led international missions”, outlined Irakli Garibashvili. As he stated, Georgia continues participation in Resolute Support Mission and contribution in international security.
In parallel to NATO Defense Ministerial in Brussels, Defense Minister of Georgia holds meetings with foreign counterparts. Irakli Garibashvili had already met with NATO Secretary general Jens Stoltenberg and his deputy Mircea Geoană.
