The Bravo Company of the 41st Battalion of IV Mechanized Brigade held a scheduled combat training on the Vaziani firing range within the Georgia Defence Readiness Program (GDRP)
The Bravo Company launched an attack operation and carried out various tasks including giving out commands, attacking, breaking the line, clearing the area, fortifying positions and evacuating the wounded along with the fire support elements.
The 41st Battalion was supported by the 82mm mortar platoon and man portable anti-tank missile Javelin. The training was observed by the Georgian and American observer-controllers.
The 41st Battalion of IV Mechanized Brigade is in the final phase of the Georgia Defence Readiness Program (GDRP). The GDRP is a joint program of the Georgian Defence Ministry and the United States Department of Defense. The goal of the GDRP is to raise the level of preparedness of combat units of the Georgian Defence Forces for territorial defence. The program also supports the development of a self-sustaining capacity to train and equip the Georgian Defence Forces.
