Minister of Defence of Georgia Levan Izoria, within the Defence Ministerial in Brussels, attended the Meeting of the North Atlantic Council with Resolute Support Operational Partner Nations and Potential Operational Partner Nations at the level of Defence Ministers.
“As NATO’s critical partner, within the frames of the Resolute Support Mission, today we took part in the discussion with the colleagues over the security issues in Afghanistan. Once again, we have expressed our readiness to continue our participation in providing global security. We support the process launched with the leadership of our main strategic partner, which is related to the peaceful dialogue and on the long term, serves providing peace in Afghanistan with the involvement of all subjects. We believe that along the military component, this dialogue has a critical importance, also for the long term economic development of the country and providing peace in the region”, said Minister.
Within the frames of the Defence Ministerial, Levan Izoria held meetings with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Deputy Secretary General Rose Gottemoeller and foreign colleagues.
