Ministry of Defence of Georgia extends the deepest condolences over the tragedy having occurred due to the leakage of a natural gas in Tbilisi on January 16 resulting in the death of the people.

Under the decision of Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze, 17 January was announced a National Day of Mourning. With regard to it, the state flags were flown at half mast at the territory of administrative buildings of Ministry of Defence and Defence Forces.

A state flag was also hoisted at all the military units.
