159 military service members were enlisted in the Georgian Armed Forces. The oath-taking ceremony was held on the field training base of the 1st Infantry Brigade in the village of Khtsisi. Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Georgian Armed Forces, Brigade General Shalva Jabakhidze congratulated soldiers on joining the Georgian Armed Forces and wished them devoted service and success. Air Defence Commander, LTC Sergo Ninua also addressed the conscripts.
After oath-taking ceremony the successful military personnel were awarded with letters of appreciation and ethnic minority conscripts who had successful completed the state language learning program, with special certificates.
Prior to taking oath, recruits went through a ten-week Basic Combat Training (BCT) Course. During the course they mastered skills in tactical, signal, medical, fire support and drill exercises. From today on, they will be assigned to Aviation and Air Defence units and serve there for 9 months.
Representatives of the Georgian Armed Forces and family members of the military personnel attended the event.
