The Georgian Armed Forces are celebrating the NCO Corps Day. With regard to this occasion, an awarding ceremony was held at the Bagram Airfield in Afghanistan. Commander of 23rd Battalion of II Infantry Brigade of the GAF LTC Beka Ambroladze, his Deputy LTC Mikheil Gognadze and Battalion Commander Senior Sergeant Malkhaz Kopaliani granted honorary diplomas for the successful fulfillment of their duties, thanked them for their service and wished them a safe return to the motherland.
The 23rd Battalion of II Infantry Brigade has been fulfilling the Resolute Support Mission since April. The main task of the Battalion is protection of inner and outer perimeters of the military base.
