The Alpha Company of the 32nd battalion of the III Infantry Brigade stationed in the Camp Marmal in Mazar-i-Sharif conducted a humanitarian operation within the frames of the Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan. Before the basic phase, Platoon Commander Capain Irakli Tolordava held a briefing about security rules and movement for the unit.
Georgian military personnel handed over the toys collected by the 45th public school of Tbilisi to the children living in the nearby villages. Soldiers played with the children, talked to the local population and interested with their problems.
Humanitarian operation lasted for three hours. Five all-protected carrier vehicles Dingo 2 of Bundeswehr were also involved in the operation.
The Alpha Company of the 32nd battalion of the III Infantry Brigade has been participation in the Resolute Support Mission for five months. In a few weeks the unit will be rotated by the Bravo Company.
