NATO Days in Kutaisi

NATO Days in Georgia are going on. Special Delegation from Alliance together with event organizers have attended the Third Infantry Brigade of the Georgian Armed Forces today. The presentation of a booklet “Georgia in Service of Peace – 1998-2009” was held for the military servicemen as well. The booklet is devoted to the Georgian military servicemen, who served in Kosovo, Iraq  and Afghanistan in different times. The booklet “Georgia in Service of Peace – 1998-2009” includes interviews of ordinary citizens and high-level officials of the Ministry of Defence of Georgia about peacekeeping missions.
“In spite of nowadays challenges Georgia does not change its foreign policy trends and expresses its readiness for fulfilling commitments undertaken for maintaining peace as a common value.” – Stated Minister of Defence of Georgia, Bacho Akhalaia. The Alliance delegation held meeting with students of Akaki Tsereteli University of Kutaisi. Later guests attended the solemn ceremony dedicated to NATO Square opening.
