Latvian Conductor holds master classes for Georgia`s military band

Chief Conductor of the Latvian National Armed Forces Lieutenant Colonel Dainis Vuskans is conducting master classes for the military band of GAF. Latvian musician will share his knowledge and experience to the Georgian military orchestra for one week. The Band musicians are passing rehearsals for “Second Suite” of British composer Gustav Holst and “Retro” of Latvian composer Aivars Krūmiņš. Latvian military band launched cooperation with the Georgian military musicians last year. The orchestra took part in the Military Parade of Georgia dedicated to the Independence Day of the country. The military band of GAF was created in 1991 and is composed of 50 musicians. In 2008 and 2009 it was awarded a title of Laureate in Ukraine-based Sumy city at the Military Brass Band Festival. Georgian military band was invited to the NATO member countries` military orchestras` concerts to be held in the Mons city of Belgium, in 2014 and 2015.
