The delegation of Ministry of Defence of Georgia continues visit to the United States of America. Within the working visit, First Deputy Defence Minister Levan Dolidze and Deputy Chief of the Joint Staff of GAF Vladimer Chachibaia held a meeting with U.S Deputy Assistance Secretary of State Eric Rubin.
Levan Dolidze briefed the U.S. State Department official on the progress of reforms in the Georgian Ministry of Defence. The sides talked on Georgia`s NATO integration perspectives and GAF`s participation in the ISAF mission. Deepening of cooperation in the field of security between the two countries was also discussed at the meeting.
“We have discoursed about a number of issues such as enhancement of security cooperation between the United States and Georgia, America`s Support towards Georgia`s NATO aspiration and taking concrete steps in this respect”, said Mr. Dolidze after the meeting.
Under the visit agenda, MoD delegation will conduct meetings with the representatives of the U.S. National Security Council and Vice-President`s Office, Senate and House of Representatives.
