Defence Minister Irakli Alasania and Brigadier-General Vakhtang Kapanadze visited a military serviceman Ramaz Davitaia in German based U.S. Heidelberg Hospital, who had been wounded in Afghanistan.
Corporal Davitaia was wounded by a sniper’s bullet while performing the special operation within the peacekeeping mission. According to the German doctors, Georgian soldier’s health condition is satisfying. Under the joint decision of Defence Ministry and German doctors, the Georgian Corporal will continue treatment in one of the best German medical clinics for his full rehabilitation.
The Corporal of the 23rd Battalion of II Brigade, Ramaz Davitaia received injuries while serving in the international mission in Afghanistan 5 months ago.
