Today Georgian Defence Minister has hosted H.E. Ivan Jestřáb, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Georgia and to the Republic of Armenia.

Veterans Affairs Department representatives of Ministry of Defence of Georgia paid tribute to the memory of the Georgian Junkers in Kojori.

Minister of Defence of Georgia paid tribute to the memory of the Georgina Junkers. Irakli Alasania laid wreath on the Memorial of the Junkers killed in the fight for independence of Georgia in Kojori in February 25, 1921.

Following the accomplishment of the rehabilitation course, Private Guram Chimakhidze who was exploded on the IED (improvised explosive device), will return to the Georgian Armed Forces and continue his service as a military instructor.

Defence Minister Irakli Alasania and Brigadier-General Vakhtang Kapanadze visited a military serviceman Ramaz  Davitaia in German based U.S. Heidelberg Hospital, who had been wounded  in Afghanistan.

The official visit of Chief of Joint Staff of GAF Colonel Irakli Dzneladze to Brussels has finished today. Colonel Dzneladze attended the 168th session of NATO and Partners’ Chiefs of Defence. He took part in the Military Committee in Chiefs of Defence format as well.

The cooperation directions for 2013 have been defined between Defence Ministries of Georgia and Estonia. To this purpose, the Estonian Delegation has visited Georgian Defence Ministry today.
